Design Sponge Home Tour

Sep 3, 2015

I know it’s been a few weeks since our home tour went live on Design Sponge but I thought I would share a few pictures with you guys here. It was a exciting opportunity I was flattered to be approached about but was instantly extremely nervous about photographing.

My love and interest of photography has steadily been growing but interiors are something I had never tackled and was so intimidating. I ended up being happy with the product and was proud of myself for conquering the challenge.

I think our home tends to have an eclectic feel and I am still working on having everything cohesively pull together but it’s coming along!

It was such an amazing learning experience and a fun new way to look at our home decor. Browsing the site also makes me instantly enamored with so many different styles and want to redecorate our entire space! What home pieces are you guys loving right now or lusting after?

Huge thanks to some amazing local designers Marco & Emily and my friend Lindsay for helping out with styling, support, & love throughout the process. Support your local artists and let me know if you have any questions about any of the pieces!

Can you share sourcing for some of the things in your beautiful home? Specifically interested in the bed headboard and the framed prints above the bed. 🙂 Thanks!

absolutely! the headboard i actually stumbled upon at a furniture warehouse here in chicago on Elston. things continually rotate there & I just got lucky! The prints are from an art studio in Austin, Tx where artists would create a limited number of prints for different concerts. Sadly I bought them over 5 years ago and couldn’t locate the business anywhere so I’m afraid they may have closed 🙁 Sorry neither of those two are super helpful!
