Half Way There: A 20 Week Update

Feb 21, 2020

Thermal: Urban Outfitters – I live in these things and own two. I plan on wearing them daily once the baby is here since they are breastfeeding friendly 🙂 | Jeans: MadewellNon Maternity Version | Slippers: Mine are old but these and these are almost identical! | Scrunchie: Urban Outfitters | Mug: Yeti – mom’s best friend for keeping your coffee hot!

It’s hard to believe I’m already over half way through this pregnancy. I think between staying busy with a toddler and not seeing an ultrasound for so long, the beginning just flew by. I thought it would be fun to share some insight into what life is like now since I’ve been getting so many sweet comments and questions!

Feeling

Pretty good! After a very rough first trimester these past couple weeks have been delightful. Not feeling nauseous and throwing up has been absolutely life changing and I feel like I’m able to be a better mom to Zain again. I haven’t been having much pain besides a little lower back discomfort on occasion after work and I still feel like my belly fluctuates in size every day!

Eating

EVERYTHING! I can’t seem to keep myself full. I am really trying to stick to healthy at home meals during the week since we tend to go out on the weekends but we have been on a bit of a take out rampage and I’m eager to get back to a better diet.

Sleeping

Ugh, not well. I am not a great sleeper to begin with and now that I am up several times a night to use the restroom I find myself awake from about 3am on most days. I don’t know how to remedy the situation and Trevor is not into me waking him up to chat, so if you have any suggestions please let me know!

Wearing

More non maternity clothes than maternity still. I love my tried and true Madewell maternity jeans that fit like a glove but have found most of my non maternity clothes still fit so I’m making it work. The tighter silhouette on my shape makes me feel better so I’ve been rocking mostly leggings, sweatshirts and cardigans

Shopping

Avoiding it. I still haven’t bought a thing for the baby. We are just now thinking about the nursery and will hopefully be sharing a post on nursery inspo next week so you can all help me and weigh in!

Reading

Nothing baby related, ha! I have been reading a ton and am trying to spend more time in the evening away from technology and just enjoying being. You can see some of my previous book lists here and I just added a ‘Book’ highlight over on Instagram since you all were requesting it!

Craving

SUMO ORANGES! If you follow me on Instagram you know the debacle and deliciousness that is this orange. I’ve also been very into all kinds of cold fruit and ice cream 🙂

Hope you all have a short Friday at work and cheers to the weekend!
