6 Things I Love Right Now

Aug 8, 2022

Good morning!

Wow, it has been a while huh? I took a somewhat intentional break from the blog and social media over the summer. While it’s harder to tell on social media, I decided to scale back to enjoy the summer with my kids and what feels like fleeting time before Zain heads off to Kindergarten. Social media can eat up your time, especially when it’s something you use for work so I really tried to be more intentional with it. I essentially allowed myself batch times to log on and be active. I didn’t set alarms or specific time limits but I mentally tried to stay away from my phone as much as possible and log on to post or share things at one or two times during the day.

Along those lines, we snuck away for a quick trip this weekend to Mimi and Grandpa’s and it was the best. The kids absolutely love running around outside at their place with their cousins who live close by and Mimi usually always has all the fun activities lined up for them. They did an obstacle course, played in the sand and water, and enjoyed their cousins. Zain has been asking all summer if he could stay over since Grandpa recently retired and he was beyond excited when we said yes. He is going fishing today and I’m sure many other exciting things. As someone who never had grandparents around, it makes my heart so happy that my kids get to enjoy this stuff.

Anyhow, after that quick catch up I thought it would be the perfect time to share a little bit of what I’ve been up to and enjoying since we last chatted!

Fed Up

On the drive, Trevor and I started this podcast after reading a few articles about it and I’m pretty invested. Casey Wilson narrates which makes it even more enjoyable as she explores and internet beef that spiraled. The story surround the found of the F-Factor diet and it’s founder, Tanya Zuckerbrot. Have you listened?

Meant to Be

Also while we were away, I finished this book and have to admit I was very meh about it. Admittedly, this is not my normal genre or book but I found the storyline a bit cheesy and unimaginative. I know so many friends that love her as an author and although this was my first time reading one of her books I did enjoy her writing style. Have you read it? Should I try one of her other books?

Cady Wrap Dress

Did you catch my Reel this morning? This wrap dress has been the silent winner of my wardrobe this summer. I can’t count the amount of times I have worn it and love that it truly does go from office to weekend so seamlessly. I think it runs roomy so would size down if in between but love the light texture, button closure. and length.

Caprese Chicken Skillet

It has been over a week since I worked out or meal planned, last week just got the best of me so we are getting back on track today! I’m hoping to hop on the bike during Zahra’s nap and added this new meal to our menu this week. Anyone made it before?

Sunday Riley C.E.O Glow

WOW! I bought this during Amazon Prime day at the recommendation of a few of my girlfriends and I am obsessed. It is worth every penny. I love how bright it has my skin looking when I wake up and the smell is heavenly. A little bit of the oil goes a long way!

Pill Organizer

This is just a peek into what an old soul I am but this new pill organizer has sparked so much joy! I have been cramming entire bottles into my travel cases over the years and this cute little $5 case has solved all my space issues. I love the dividers and how sleek it is when packing.

Hope those random bits of information brighten your Monday morning and I have to say, I am happy to be back. Hope you all have an amazing start to your week!
